Greetings ALC Fam!!!
O Give thanks unto the LORD for He is good and his mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so… It is with great Jesus joy that I greet you in the strong and matchless name of Jesus our Christ! I am sending this e-mail first hoping that you all are blessed and enjoying God's favor. I want to encourage you in your daily LIFE to continue to press into God for strength, guidance and peace.
This week I WANNA SAY THANK YOU!!! This past month I have watched my church family lavish my family with love and appreciation and for every bit of it I (we) say “thank you!!” All of the gifts, sentiments, words of encouragement and love given for my family and myself were truly encouraging and perceived as genuine. I know I don’t serve for accolades or reward (but for Heaven’s approval), but it surely feels good to be honored in such a way… I want to say thanks to the men of ALC for the kind words, dinner, encouragement, fellowship and pool losses…(lol) I thank God for all the DIVAs for your love, support, pampering of my wife and investments in our lives. To all the youth who participated in any way, you know you all are my heart and to feel your love and see your participation is priceless… Especially through the arts---you all’s participation in the worship on Sunday brought joy to my heart… The way you all minister, WOW---y’all CAN do ANYTHING!!
Again, I thank God for all of my staff that works year round with me to keep ALC moving forward… I thank God for each of you for holding my arms up and being loyal and faithful to your perspective assignments. I thank God for all of my ministry leaders. You all rock! I thank you for how you have sought to carry out the vision and continue to strive to grow. To my deacons I thank God for you men. I pray God’s continued blessings and favor on you as we’ve worked together to try to advance this work. I thank God for the Gages (John and Kia) and Stephanie Sneed and all of those who committed to the work of the committee this year. Your efforts, attention to detail and creativity were evident and I love you all for that. From the food, to the décor, to programming, to the cleaning/painting, etc… I thank you all for your contributions. As always, I must not forget my biological family… My mom and grandmother are amazing women of God who have kept me focused and trying long before all of this and that is awesome in my sight. I’m grateful for a loving wife who shares the deepest struggles of my insatiable spirit toward excellence (or maybe just things my way). I am also so grateful and proud of the three coolest kids a man could ask for---SWAG far beyond their years. Finally, I thank God for all of your expressions of encouragement. The monetary love, the written letters, the acts of kindness (cutting grass, preparing plates, driving me here and there, etc…), the heart felt tributes----ALL OF IT IS APPRECIATED!!! You all are amazing people and I have been blessed to serve you. May God always extend His abundance of blessings toward you all!!!
